A Bit of Background

Lifepointe is an independent Christian Church, which means we are locally led and are loosely connected with a group of churches who value church independence and freedom from denominational hierarchy.

We continue to form partnerships with other churches and organizations who share our passion for planting new churches.

A Bit of Our History

Lifepointe's first worship service was on February 29th, 2004, at Six Forks Cinema in Raleigh, NC. The founding plant team was made up of people from Crosspointe Church in Cary, NC as well as leaders from the southeast to the midwest.  Fourteen Churches from the Southeastern United States joined together to help Lifepointe get off the ground. We  began with a dream that church can be done in a way that is relevant to people's lives, and should be a place where people grow. The church continues in its desire to reach out to those who are unchurched, dechurched or just plain fed up with church.

Within weeks of opening, Lifepointe began a partnership with Children of Chernobyl and hosted 4 children from Belarus that first Summer.  Each year since, the program has expanded and we have been blessed to watch the visitors grow in stature and in their understanding of God's love for them.  We also have served people in other parts of the world by sending helpers and medical missionaries to places in the U.S. and  abroad.

Lifepointers have served our local community through food distributions and various local organizations focused on caring for people who need help.  Haven House, With Love From Jesus and Basic Needs Ministry are just a few of the groups we have worked with.

Some Other Really Cool Stuff

In the Summer of 2007, we purchased "Frosty," Lifepointe's Ice Cream Truck.  Frosty has given free ice cream to firefighters, parade-watchers, children in the financially poorest parts of Raleigh, and lots of other awesome people.  We believe community outreach can be fun for everyone.
