Lifepointe In Action - January 23, 2010

Serving others is part of God's prescription for our lives. Once a quarter we head out into the community to make a difference in multiple ways.Come and join us. You'll be back. Not only will your loving actions andwords be helping someone in need, but you'll end up meeting some really cool people!

Raleigh Food Bank:    9:00am-Noon      (register)
Location:  3808 Tarheel Drive; Raleigh 27609

From 440 (inner beltline): Take the Wake Forest Road exit 10 (north). At the bottom of the ramp, turn left (north). Turn right onto St. Albans and bear left, go down 5 blocks make right onto Tarheel Drive. The Food Bank is on the left.

From 440 (outer beltline): Take the Wake Forest Road exit 10 (north). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right (north). Turn right onto St. Albans and then bear left, go down 5 blocks make right onto Tarheel Drive. The Food Bank is on the left.

From Highway 1 (Capital Blvd): Coming from the north, turn right onto Highwood Blvd. This becomes Wolfpack Lane after crossing Atlantic Avenue. Turn right on Tarheel Drive, which is the first right after the railroad tracks. Food Bank will be on the right about a mile and half.

Project description: This project will involve sorting/repackaging/organizing food or whatever needs to be done.
Experience level:  All are welcome.
Please bring this stuff:  Come dressed warmly for working inside a building that may or may not be heated.

 

Help the Homeless:  9:00am-Noon        (register)
Location:   Meet at church office - 10224 Durant Rd #20, 27614 (click here for a map).  

We will carpool to Moore Square, downtown Raleigh.

Project description:  Distribute breakfast bars, hot cocoa and blankets to the homeless in downtown Raleigh

Please bring this stuff:  Come dressed appropriately for being outside the entire time.
