What is a Lifegroup?
Our main focus at
Lifepointe is helping people connect with God. Lifegroups are at the heart of making that happen.
Groups are made
up of 4-12 people meeting regularly for the purpose of (1) exploring who Jesus
is, (2) discovering God’s purpose for their life, (3) and being encouraged to
take the next steps on their faith journey.
All of this
occurs in the context of a growing relationship with God and the people of the
group.
What can I expect?
Every Lifegroup
is a little different, but in general group meetings consist of a meet and
greet time where everyone, coffee in hand, shares how their week is going.
The group will pray for one another, (no one prays if they don't want)
and then they dig into a relevant discussion based on a passage from the Bible.
It usually ends
with everyone hanging out over a great dessert and another cup of coffee.
Most groups also do occasional service projects and social outings.
In one statement: Expect to find
new friends!
