As a church we will serve the poor locally and globally by doing our part to make a difference.

Our part locally.

One Church - One Family:   In 2008 we became a support for one family that wanted to leave poverty and homelessness behind. Through the Raleigh initiative to end homelessness in our city, we partnered with Penny Thorton to help her start a new life and move out of the shelter. Penny and her son's Kaleb and Zuri have been a blessed by the generousity of so many. We will contine helping make a difference in the lives of the homeless in Raleigh in 2009. See the story here:

Lifepointe in Action Days: Saturday mornings you have the opportunity to join us in serving our city. We meet at either the Six Forks or Marquee Theatre, divide into teams and go make a difference in the Raleigh & Wake County area. Things like school clean up & landscaping, working in shelters, and helping the elderly are just a few of the things we do on Lifepointe Action Saturdays. The next opportunity for this is January 23, 2010.

Our part globally

Lemonade International. There is a forgotten community in Guatelmala, it's called La Limonada. It's a rough place. We have partnered with "Lemonade International", a Raleigh based organization established to bring hope to La Limonada. You can sponser children in school, go on a trip to Guatelmala, or give a financial gift to help with Lemonade. See more about it here: Lemonade Video

Children of Chernobyl:  Every summer Lifepointe Families have host children from Belarus, the area hardest hit by the Chernobyl nuclear accident. The vistors are with us for six weeks (mid-June to early-August)  to breathe clean air, get free medical care, have fun, and learn about the love of God.  There are lots of ways to help during their visit.  If you are interested in finding out more, contact Kim Perry
